  1. You’re the best!! Thanks so much A.U.!! The same group may want to pull the trigger on it so let me know the minimum order number and how many offices might make sense for you to do it. Want it to be a win-win, of course. Have a great day and I love the “blog service”

  2. aubankaitis says:

well THAT makes a lot more sense. Let me look into this for you D’Anne and I will be in touch. It is a matter of finding a case you like, figuring out details regarding how many need to be ordered, etc. So, I will contact you off line!

  3. I was actually wondering about having my business logo on the carrying case 😉 At one point, a group of us were talking with Etymotic about doing just this for their ER-20 Ety-plugs, but I think the ball got dropped on it by one of us. It was supposed to be a blue case with my logo in white or a white case and logo in blue – not super fancy. Thoughts?

Hi D’Anne: there is a starter display available and based on your feedback, Oaktree is in process of getting that set up. In terms of custom branded packaging, are you talking about an Oaktree branded sticker on the actual packaging of the product or are you asking about a customized Oaktree Products carrying case for the earplugs? Knowing you, i assume you will say “both”!

  5. Awesome! I actually had a sample pair sent to me and I liked the fit and feel. Can Oaktree do custom branded packaging – or carrying cases? I’d like to carry these in my office as a POS item. Is there a starter display that I can get from Oaktree?

  6. Dan Schwartz says:

How does the frequency response of the TRU Universal WR20 Earplug compare to the Etymotic ER-20 Ety•Plug?

    • aubankaitis says:

based on the real ear attenuation (reported in dB) that is included with the packaging and/or readily available on respective websites, the frequency response of the Tru Universal and Etymotic appear to be essentially the same.

      • Dan Schwartz says:

So, the WR20 is over 3x the price of the ER-20: Is there any compelling reason to choose it?

        • aubankaitis says:

THE MSRP of the TRU is ~30 whereas the MSRP of the ER-20 is ~15. The reason the TRU is more wice as expensive at the MSRP level is because it comes packaged with two sets of flanged ear plugs, large and medium, so you are essentially getting two pairs of plugs versus one (NOTE: only get one pair of filters). Regardless, price is mainly based on what the package contains. Keep in mind too that some people buy hearing protection because of how cool the color may be. At the end of the day, if I like the look of the TRU more or prefer the hot pink color of the TRU, I (along with many other consumers) will not have too big of a problem paying twice as much for a comparable hearing protection product. I have learned from my own clinical practice to offer patients options as you will often be surprised which one they may choose.
